Hello all, ![]()
This is our first official quiz with the new codifier! It'll be just one sample, one video exactly 2:30 minutes long. The point of this test is to see if we can achieve inter-rater reliability in a controlled setting.
To try and randomize the selection process, I used the website https://ytroulette.com/ to generate a video, using the search term "vlog" (otherwise it gives me anything from cat vids to asmr). I selected the first video that matched these criteria:
The person's codename for this quiz will be Alex, but that's not their real name. This is in order to prevent google searching, since I won't be showing their channel, just this video. This test isn't so much about getting their type right (although that matters) but in having consensus on signal identification within the visible parameters.
The quiz will remain open from now until Monday 13th. If you'd like to take the quiz simply reply to this thread saying "I'm in" or something to that effect. I will send you a forum PM with the video link. π Please keep the link private until the quiz is over.
The codifier ( https://cognitivetype.com/codifier/ ) must be used to checkmark the signals that appear in the video. Every signal you see must be checked, and no more or less. Tutorial videos on the signals can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJO3eB-8YGw&list=PLkR4d69Qej6Lte9orHf9llKfzsXZKKU6w
After completing the reading, add your typing designation on the top dropdown menus of the codifier, click the "Export PDF" button on the codifier with "Alex" as the sample name and save it to your device. The PDF must then be submitted by email to me and my email is sandoval@cognitivetype.com. (This is because attaching PDFs is hard on the forum.)
The results will be calculated as 110 points, one for each signal. These will be compared to two baselines: my results, and also to everyone's average. As I mentioned in the last quiz, I know this is an unideal situation and I hope any dependency on me can be omitted in the future. I have not yet done my own reading of this sample, so I'll be participating just like everyone else.

how're u guys doing?
without revealing anything about the subject yet, how was the process itself?
what were your thoughts on the format?
@auburn
I liked it! It was clear what was expected of us, short enough of a sample to really test our identification skills, and the codifier is intuitively easy to use!
The new format and identifiers do feel more likely to lead to greater precision than the Quiz 3 format. It showed me how I can be either certain or uncertain about some of the identifiers. On day 1 I finished, yet held off until today to give it fresh eyes. I made some small additions for sure. I had some over the top ideas that would lead from 99% to 99.9% certainty but I gave myself a break.
It would be cool to do a Quiz 4.5 for next week on one more anonymous subject.
PS: It may or may not be useful to insert 'experiential rambling' for the Pe's. Same for combining 'Head Nods' and 'Head Shakes' into 'Head Jerks'.
PPS: @auburn please do my soft reading on Julien Blanc soon. It's been a awhile bro. lol
nice π
Hmm, combining Head Shakes/Nods together is an interesting suggestion. So far I've found it valuable to have them apart because they are different vectors but also because if someone "really" has Je, they show both. By contrast, when someone only partially has Je, they usually show maybe one or the other. So the apparent redundancy is actually reflective of the full or partial presence of Je in the psyche.
(edit: But then, if another slot opened, it'd be nice to consider re-adding Je Browraise Emphasis, which was mentioned in the book, so we can stop mis-clicking Ni raised outer edges on FeSi's like Ted Bundy and Charles Manson.

yea, I was thinking that if this format is "light" enough and enjoyable, with just 1 sample, we could even do them regularly. π Until we hammer down on full consensus?

I need shadow clones for all this
Quiz entries are officially closed.
No more results will be taken at this point.
I'll begin doing the calculations now, and post the results within 1 hr. ![]()
Here is "Alex" the sample:
Her real name is Scarlett Rose Turner, and this is her youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTUOC1C0hZtFzrhXWUrkqIg
Now, rather than framing things in relation to my own answers, this time I'll start with the collective consensus-- going off of the idea that the aggregate of everyone's guesses has more predictive power than any one person's estimation.

^ The above is not my report, but the result of all reports being put together.
Thus, this is the most "official" answer: Alex is a SeFi l-l- Seelie Female.
To explain this result, here is a graphic of what it looks like when all 12 quiz reports are stacked atop of each other in Photoshop as a heat map:

The areas with dense color are those that have the most checkmarks. The areas with white and/or very light coloration are areas not selected by many/any. This is incredible to see, because it shows a fairly uneven distribution.
The more color contrast there are between areas, the more confirmation there is that we're identifying something collectively. A failure of a test (a fully random result) would have homogeneous coloration more or less everywhere along the 110 signals. But this shows very dark spots and white spots.
Looked at differently, the collective consensus in numerical breakdown comes out to:

(Of special note was"Pe Eye-Toggles" which had 100% (12/12) agreement. And many signals have 9+/12 points of agreement.)
Now, since there were exactly 12 reports aggregated, the Results report was constructed by going back into the codifier afresh and checking "yes" on all signals that had 6 or more checkmarks in the consensus, which means the majority of test takers (50% or more) agreed on the signal. So if a signal had less than 50% checkmarks, it was left as a "no". The PDF was then generated based on this criteria.
The individual quiz-taker scores, as compared to the Results report, will come later, maybe tomorrow. This is a lot to calculate at once.
I'm too excited to wait... so...
OKAY!!
Discussion time! π
My own report was:

I calculated some stats on the aggregate results.
These are the odds of getting the same results or stronger by chance.
Any probability less than .05 is commonly regarded as statistically significant.
J/P: .000667
C/R: .746962*
SeNi/NeSi: .000009
TeFi/FeTi: 1.74990416061e-27 (very small)
*Conductor/Reviser signals are calculated as the combinations of Je and Pi signals and Pe and Ji signals respectively. This isn't actually accurate since those signals don't actually necessarily repress each other.
Likely types: SeFi or NiTe
@auburn
Wow this is really cool to see!
I guess the main question would be this (since I was a little on the fence about this point and I'm sure others were as well): what, in your own view, would have to change marker-wise to make her fully Te conscious?
