Official four book set to be released next year

Author: Juan E. Sandoval Cite
First Published: November 12, 2022

A four book set on Cognitive Typology is in production to be published throughout next year. These will be the first printed publications since the first book in 2016, and will include all research and theory advancements that have been made in the past years. The book set will finalize all unwritten material on the four function quadrants, the 32 developments, application of the model in psychodynamics, a cognitive architecture, and much more. The series is also intended to formally publish much of the material that has been shown online, after much needed editing and polishing up.

Cognitive Typology Full Overview

As many community members are aware, a complete start-to-finish guide to the model does not currently exist. Instead, all resources are scattered in various articles, and at various levels of completion. This is due to the rapid nature in which the model has progressed over the past years, through countless conversations with community members and an ever-growing body of database samples. As we dug into this phenomenon, we discovered that different developments exist, emotional attitudes affect expression, and compound function effects can be observed. These and all other updates will come with this publication effort, and will standardize the model as it currently stands.

*final cover designs may change

Book 1: The Algorithm of Consciousness as Revealed by Facial Expressions

This first book is the same one published in 2016, but as a REVISED version. Chief among the revisions of this copy will be the removal of the words Abstract, Concrete, Logical and Ethical as words used for N, S, T, F respectively. A foreword will be included which explains the transition of these terms to N (Association), S (Literality), T (Abiotic) and F (Biotic). Any known type errors or overt inaccuracies will be fixed, but the goal is to minimally alter this copy, and leave it as close to the original as possible.

Book 2: Introductory Lectures from 2022

This second book will be an edited and polished transcript of the lectures given during 2022 to the Vultology classrooms. These lectures comprise a body of essays which will be made more accessible in this form. The key innovation of this book is that it acts as a walkthrough of why and how Model 1 was formed from first-level observations. It provides the tangible evidence used for the CT hypothesis, by walking through 158 samples and over 1100 rows of data. And although the walkthrough is by no means a proper scientific experiment, this book acts as a sort of "proof of concept" for the phenomenon CT is tracking, by showcasing how the symmetries come about from firsthand exposure to people.

Book 3: Practitioner Manual for Psychodynamics

While book two works to lay down the foundations of the model in an experimental way, this third book summarizes all those observations into a series of psychological profiles. This book will contain the behavioral profiles for all the functions, the compound effects, and the 32 developments. Additionally, it will walk you through what function integration means, what we know about it, and how a therapist might go about guiding a patient in or out of function usage using practical exercises. It will also contain a psychological survey that can be given to patients, and to compare against their vultology.

Book 4: Cognitive Typology Architecture

This fourth book is by far the most advanced; dealing primarily with cognitive science, analogies to neural networks and modelling the phenomenon we observe as a cognitive architecture. It makes use of programming languages as metaphors for how the information is speculated to metabolize in the minds of people with certain vultologies. This book will also provide suggestions for how experiments might be carried out to check the presence or absence of these information processing styles in individuals.

Open-Access?

In the spirit of free knowledge, previously open-access articles will still remain open-access, but will be updated to reflect the final publications. New materials in these books will also slowly become public-access after a period of recovery for the investments. CT wishes to have as few barriers in place to the advancement of this research project, and will therefore make these materials accessible online after a period of recovery for the initial investment. The goal of publishing these materials is primarily to formalize them and secure their copyright, not financial gains.
