Visual Description

The person's brow furrows in a gesture of concentration as the direction of the gaze shifts either diagonally downward, upward or otherwise away from the audience.

Psychology Description

This signal reveals a psyche presently preoccupied with very acute memory recall; usually of some specific detail that escapes the mind. Here the ocular activity of "searching" is happening through internal perception (Pi) even though the eyes appear to be searching externally for something. In truth, there is nothing external to find, and this unconscious activity is indicative of internal perceptive investigation. A person who continually displays this signal is one that is very referential, concerned with history, their personal past and also the wider context of global narratives as they relate to, and reveal, the state of the present and probable future.
