This is a diagram of the ACT-R Cognitive Architecture.

A cognitive architecture is a computational model of the mind that can can be simulated on a compter.
In my opinion, the ACT-R Cognitive Architecture's Intentional, Declarative, Manual and Visual Modules may correlate with the Ji, Pi, Je and Pe functions respectively.
Ji is described by Cognitive Typology as the Compass, which I think this correlates nicely with the idea of an intentional module and goal buffer, seeing as both provide a sense of direction.
Pi is described by Cognitive Typology as the Worldview, which I think correlates well with the idea of a declarative module and a retrieval buffer seeing as both serve as internal stores of information.
Je is described by Cognitive Typology as the Articulator, which I think correlates with the idea of a manual module and buffer since both connote the idea of a control apparatus.
Pe is described by Cognitive Typology as the Explorer, which I think correlates well with the idea of a visual module and buffer, seeing as both involve inspection of the available terrain.
