So for a long time I didn't relate to my Te, but today when I was having a discussion with a student I told them that they like to say "I don't understand" because they aren't willing to apply themselves. They were very offended, but I didn't think what I said was offensive. Later they told me their feelings were hurt and I tried to apologize, but ended up coming across as insensitive even though it wasn't my intention at all. Its really awkward and uncomfortable.

I think I sometimes struggle to be tactful with what I say. My intention is usually good and I just think its better to be honest and to clear the air, but it can either be beneficial or potentially destructive and something I need to work on.
