Soft Readings: VI

Hiya!
So I made a general announcement on Patreon that I'm attempting to reach 1,000 cleaned-up database samples, and asked people to send as many requests as they wanted. I got around ~230 requests -- thanks so much!
But, as they are so many, I won't have time to do a writeup for each one (I can better use that time cleaning up the videos and adding them to the database). However, I'd like to post some of the results I have so far. Please bear in mind these are very soft readings, and so far in many cases I have only narrowed it down to ~2 types, although the first type listed does have priority. Development levels are also "best approximations" from an initial ~10-15 minute look at each.
(And for types with 3-4 functions conscious, in particular, I have to do a careful cross-analysis against all other adjacent shades before I know for sure their development.)

This first round has 6 samples from each patreon submitter (except for Lumi's, who I can't find good vids for yet). I'll be going through and doing equal amounts of each member at a time. And since this still isn't enough to reach 1,000 - do feel free to add more samples, and other members here can also add to this list by joining patreon.

Interesting - you were "????" when it came to Alex Gray and Maynard James Keenan - Alex Grey is a five, and Maynard... may be a 5 or a 6.... we are still looking into it.

You also originally typed Arya as a NiTe, and realized later that she may be FiSe or SeFi, but you found her particularly confusing.  She is also a five.
Enneagram has its own body language, so this pattern struck me. Three (likely) Gamma SF's who are fives (or in one case, might be a 5), and all of them (at least at a quick glance) made you go: ??!
MBTI people would not expect that a 5 could be a SeFi or a FiSe, although I always personally thought that was a likely combination. I have been advocating for the idea of TiSe or TeNi fours (for example) and other  combinations that MBTI people consider unlikely, from the beginning. This is because the deeper psychology matches in ways that people who study these systems 'shallowly' aren't aware of. For instance many fives have a drive to dig into their subjective self-image and express it artistically. Many fours have a desire to understand archetypal connections and look at what it means to be human more objectively. Also, fours with certain tritypes (471, 468, etc) may be business minded, wanting to market their unique image and passionate suffering, and make a splash with their iconic brand of 'performing' it.  So it doesn't surprise me that Maria Callas, a classic four exemplar, is TeNi.  People also don't realize the "drag queen" tendency that some Ti leads possess (which matches Naranjo's idea that fours may envy the opposite gender and show this in their image), nor do they realize the need to express their values & self-image, that some Te leads possess.  So in their minds there's "no such thing" as a Te or Ti leading four, or a feeler five.... SeFi 5 would be unheard of to them.
I've had so many stupid arguments with these people about theory, since 2012 when I first got into it. I wrote passionate posts on separate forums, sourced with tentative exemplars and everything, explaining why I thought TeNi or TiSe would be a good match for a four, or why a 5 could be a feeler. It really makes me happy to see you've come up with these patterns too.
Alex Gray is a very clear, classic 5 example. Maynard , we still have to decide, is he really a 5 or a 6? So that may be a false exemplar, but nonetheless it doesnt take away from my thoughts because the SF was (potentially) matching a very cerebral person. You may decide he's NiTe in the end?  But I'd be surprised, just knowing what I know about him.
Maynard & Alex Grey were someone else's exemplars, haha. I just noticed them on the list.
Not surprised if David Life is TiSe... he looks so much like @ivory !
As for my own examples, naturally I'm thrilled to share a type with the legendary genius Freddie Mercury.... 😛  although I had pinned him as Beta ST. But this typing makes sense for sure. Meg Meyers I JUST KNEW she was SeFi. (She is probably enneagram 1 fwiw.). I thought Shelby Steele was an obvious SiFe so I'm glad I was right. 🙂 I had not typed one before. Marina Ambrovic is a clear Gamma and very archetypal FiSe. Probably a 1 with a 4 fix. Leonard Cohen is an enneagram four, who you typed at SiFe -- makes sense, I had no idea what type he would be, tbh. But that typing works and I'm happy that I've found my first match between someone my group types at four and who is a SiFe. =). These patterns help us catch other members of certain typings.  Most people don't know how to identify fours and fives (let alone other types, but especially those) so we have been focused on figuring out what exactly are the defining factors in body language, and how cognition may be throwing things off, etc. I'm thinkng out loud here and I'm not sure if anyone else on CT cares about this, but I figured I'd write down my "stream of consciousness" in case anyone does. 🙂

Donald Trump .... I know he was typed as TeNi way back in the beginning of CT. But since then I have learned more about signals and I have also seen his young videos which look very NiTe. I also have my doubts about him being an "articulator" especially when you compare him to a Te lead like Ben Shapiro or Blair White. All politics aside, I am just morbidly curious to know if he could be NiTe instead. His old interviews seem slow and his focus is "far reaching" rather than Te bulldozing. He also sits like a potato sack and has a pudgeface. Maybe I'm crazy but this has been bothering me ?

@animal I believe that Maynard Keenan James is polarized Se dominant (or even JiSe but I doubt that), but with strong Ni.

I don't think he's gamma though, as you've guessed some time ago. He looks Fe instead.

Hey, thread. This is my first time making a gif. I think I did it correctly. Here I have Chuck Palahniuk moving about in a way that I certainly identify as eye-led. All four head movements in this gif (looking up, looking back to the interviewer, looking down, looking back to the interviewer) appear to be eye-led. If so, this supports his type being SiFe rather than TiNe.

 
I wanted to do the same thing with Robert C. Solomon, but I couldn't find any good videos short enough for giphy.com. I will say, at least in his lectures, he looks very J-heavy, full of head tilts and brow raises while his gaze remains more or less fixed (the next 20 seconds from this video is a good example https://youtu.be/KfEyUr9iPAs?t=249). I think this supports his type being TeSi rather than another delta.

She seems to be heavy on Pi zone outs, like we see above.

She has fluid posture, as shown above^ and she defaults in Pi throughout the video, so SiFe seems like a solid decision (I guess I've found the rarest type lol - female SiFe). I'm not sure about the development, but I'd guess she displays Ji energetics due to her breaks in gesticulations and also some tendency towards rigidity. I'm also seeing some Je energetics + some Pe perk ups. As I said, I'm not sure.
I gotta correct myself here. I should look at multiple videos before arriving at a verdict, as Auburn suggested to me. Turns out she's actually likely NeTi, but also most likely polarized since she's showing so much Pi.
The last GIF I sent shows a posture that is common for Pe leads and also, look at this:

I'm thinking she's NeTi II- - actually because I probably confused Ji and Pi again in a Pe dom...
Her Ji just seems very strong, like it is shown in this gif:

Oh my gosh, who is Fiona Apple...
I have to say a few things first, she has a fallen (formerly "flat") affect. It shows more clearly in some videos than in others, but here's a few images:


...there's something a little unusual about her too. Her vultology, and she, is erratic. She goes from modulating Je+Pe strongly to freezing into Pi+Ji in an instant. And sometimes her expressions combust out emotion in bursts. I don't know how to quantify this but I can sense a psychological battle in her; some mental illness.

Other than that, I can't get a good read on her. Alpha seems to make the most sense, if we consider her occasional mouth sneers and disgusts expressions to be non-accidental but due to genuine pain (which happens too). In which case she seems like she could be an NeTi lll- Directive + Fallen Affect. (Wolf, I think most of her introversion is actually forms of Ji disengaging eyes? but she might also have Pi conscious, I dunno)

@Animal, we actually had a discussion about Winona Ryder on the discord server, to which Ash and Călin also parcitipated. Our final decision for her was JiSe ll--, with an inclination towards adaptive TiSe.

@WolfOO I'm skeptical that I'm really unseelie, but it's possible that I misunderstand the definition. I'm *such* a softie, really. And I mirror a lot. I'm not permeable in the sense of losing sight of my opinions, but I am extremely permeable in picking up vibes and flowing with people. I'm also oversensitive. I think it just doesn't translate well over the computer. If I met @Auburn in person and he still thought I was unseelie then maybe I'd accept it. Lol. But anyway I am really not trying to start an off-topic argument heehe, I have another thread on this topic somewhere. ... To get to the point, we are either twins or almost twins! And I'll send in a video soon, which I've been promising forever, for the sample set- but I was on this medication that made me so drowsy and weird that it was pointless to make the video.. but I'm off meds a week now and almost back to normal 🙂

FiSe seems right for Winona Ryder. I would also type her as enneagram 4. So far most of the 4's we've sent in have been SeFi or FiSe, with the exception of Maria Callas who is TeNi and Leonard Cohen who is SiFe (although, I'm not 100% confident that he's a four lead..)

@Animal I'm similar in terms of picking up vibes from people and being sensitive to their more inner identity, or so I think at least. I think that I also have a degree of sensitivity, which lead me to develop ways of managing it; it might be even related to being unseelie tbh. I remember from when I was a child that my most likely TeNi mother would say that I'm too sensitive lol.
About Winona, she's more likely adaptive Ti dom, rather than Fi dom. I initially thought she should be Fi, judging by her princess energy, but Ti can have it as well.
About Enneagram, I think I'm most likely 6w5, but if tritype is a thing, then I have trouble identifying it.

About Winona and TiSe - I see. She does have a wide smile so that could make sense. I also find her very beautiful and I have this problem where some TiSe's just drive me mad 😀 so I could see it just for that reason alone. 😛
Some people may say TiSe and four lead is problematic but that is because they're scraping the surface of either system. Even before I found CT, I typed my husband as TiSe and later he was confirmed here at CT, as TiSe. But I was pretty alert to what it actually meant, and there are many cross-dressing, musical, or glamorous Ti leads as Auburn has pointed out. My husband is one of those, an artistic beauty with a very original persona. We really struggled with his enneagram even though he's probably the best typer on the planet 😛 but it's very hard to type *yourself.*  In the end, our body language system revealed he's a 9; and we also rediscovered older descriptions by Almaas and Ichazo which are far more accurate than the usual junk you read online. Riso & Hudson ruined the meaning of enneagram and everything that came after them has been shallow, with meanings of types all mucked up. So my husband, a 947 tritype and TiSe, has a very individualistic, unique outlook and a glamorous way of dressing, and artistic flare.  But he knew he didn't quite fit the maniacal over-assertion of individual opinions & personality that fours display, nor was he aggressive enough for 7 lead. Most modern nine descriptions deny them any form of individuality or uniqueness, and also claim that nines cannot get angry. This is all bullshit. Plenty of 9s are very in touch with their own anger- but they tend to under-assert themselves in terms of their libido and aggression because they are insecure that they aren't "enough." They're out of touch with holy love - the sense of blissful existence and ubiquitous love - so they can have the sense that some things are better than others (a very gut-type thing to do, to go around "judging" things as good or bad, and seeking justice and goodness, being angry about injustice) - and they will often feel they themselves are "bad" or not enough, or don't have something good to offer the way that another person does. It can feel like an exercise in futility to assert themselves when they are disillusioned by a sense of 'lack' - but this does not mean that they don't get angry. In fact, anger gives them a sense of vitality that motivates them and can break them out of this disillusionment. So, many later descriptions like RH really muck this up by attributing "lack" and "comparitiveness" to four. Four is out of touch with holy origin and feel that their origin is different from the rest; separate, unique, and disconnected. Fours however don't compare themselves to the other humans because they are just... separate.  So, now that I've explained this, perhaps it might make sense how Ti would fit with four or nine both --- with four, the Ti lead would emphasize their unique picky perspective, and with nine, it would emphasize something closer to what @Auburn describes as the void - although his description from the old website was very 5ish in nature - for the 9, it is more like a very big emphasis on reductiveness.  There is no reason though, that A Ti lead cannot be a four, since it is a type that is often overtly unique and individualistic in mindset. My type 9 husband also has a strong 4 fix, unsurprisingly. But you can tell a 9 vs a 4 apart because fours are frustratedly MANIC about expressing themselves at every moment, as if pulling out teeth to show their full guts 😀 whereas 9s can be more depressive or gutty and sensuous, and also can be firm.  9s can have happy wild moods and be silly and giddy, but they are unlikely to have that constant "frustrated mania" that fours display.  Anyway, Winona strikes me as more of a manic 4 than another type, and you can see it in her eyes, which are wide open almost TOO far, as if popping out of her skull. She also appears to have strong 7, jacking up this quality.
We are still working on our visual typing system, and right now, I'm wondering if Jared Leto might be a 4 lead as well. He is classically typed as 3 but it doesn't work. He's far too... weird, off kilter, asocial. He can be social in spurts but he's not really engagingly adaptable the way 3s are. He's more, this is me, take it or leave it. Threes can have insanely strong personalities, and strong opinions, but there's still something smooth about the way they engage. Not so for Jared. He's intense for a bit, or even manic, then he's withdrawn and pulls into himself. I'm still working on his typing though, because I'm kind of obsessed with his mind. There's no one else quite like him. And the mania and frustration is not quite disruptive enough for me to be certain just yet that it's four. But maybe it has to do with his other fixes. Maybe 461 tritype. As our visual system develops, we will get clarity on this. 🙂
