New and Improved Database!

Hello guys,

I'm happy to announce the beginnings of the new Database design - which can be found at:  https://vultology.com/database/

There are currently only a few samples in this new database, but over time all the old samples will be converted over, and it will also continue to grow even faster than ever before since this is the first database that is fully collaborative and is co-authored.

New Features

• Individual pages for each sample: This database has separate pages for each entry, where notes can also be dropped about the sample's typing or psychology. You'll be able to find a few other things in this page including:
• PDF Reports for all samples: This database has a signal tally sheet attached to each entry. You can download this PDF to check their signals yourself, in case you have any questions about why they were type this way. This also allows others to see why a certain function axes was selected, even in cases of signal mixing. The tally sheet will show which axes won out and why.
• Thumbnails: While it seems like a small thing, thumbnails really help quickly identify samples. They also allow for samples to be listed in news feeds.
• Easier Sorting: The sorting features are now streamlined and much nicer, as a series of buttons you can click, rather than clunky dropdown menus.
• Collaborative Design: Additions to this database can be done through a private frontend panel by all certified vultologist. This is perhaps the best feature, because it allows for me to no longer be the bottleneck on new sample additions.
• Peer Reviewing: Given its collaborative nature, this new database is built with peer reviewing in mind. The samples have two possible "Status" settings: "Pending" and "Peer Reviewed." If a vultologist adds a new sample, by default it's set to Pending, unless they've also ran it by two more certified readers. At that point they can change it to Reviewed, which unlocks other features.
• News Feed Integration: When a new reading is Reviewed, it will also feature on the front page of https://vultology.com - where there is now a live news feed, which will show all new database entries. This way, if you're curious to know about who's been recently added, you can just check vultology.com and you'll immediately see who the latest additions are. 🙂

This new database was designed from the ground up, rather than using third-party resources. I hope you'll find it more intuitive and easy to navigate.

(As samples are translated over from the old database to this new one, they'll have to be given PDF reports. This will also double as an opportunity to revise the typings and signals according to the codifier 3.1 standards, if there is any need for updates.)
