1. How do you feel about your Cognitive type?
More than neutral. Personally I am more sympathetic towards other NeFis than any other types.
2. What does your type mean for you, personally?
It means a lot for me, to be honest. Consciously I always looked for my "Twins". I used astrology, enneagram and typology to find people similar to me, I always notice similarities first and differences second, I type people according to their similarities and maybe I do try to find myself in other people, to mirror them and to reflect on myself more consciously (In fact, my sun, mercury and saturn are in my 7th house, maybe it also explains much, lol).
3. How did you react when you first learned your type?
I was typed by other members as an introvert (FiSe and FiNe) before Auburn typed me. I felt released, I've always felt I was Ne lead because why not? Definitely wasn't a surprise.
4. as your type provided new insights about who you are?
Yes. Generally typology helped me a lot. MBTI is quite biased and when I was ready to dump this system, I found CT. It's more meaningful for me and more realistic. It's very important for me to use my whole potential, and while looking at other NeFis I found new insights for action, my personal opportunities and potentials. For example, I like role playing and I didn't realize I have an ability to transform into other person so quickly and so meaningfully. Now I know how to play with my personas effectively.
5. Has your typing helped you to grow? If so, how?
I have become more introspective and confident. Knowing my CT type provided me with self-knowledge. Everyone tells me I have characteristics of a leader and I didn't believe in their words. Now I can SEE exactly what they mean. I'm also an Enneagram three type (3w4) and it's important for me to be successful. To be effective and assertive. but also meaningful. I had had a bad phase for like 2 years, I was struggling with the depression because I didn't see my whole potential. I was inert and passive. I can't truly say that I'm finally healthy but apparently nowadays I know my abilities and trust me, it's more than just acting on an impulse or having a plan. Possibilities are everything for me.
I was not overly surprised when I learned of my type (except for the fact I was initially deemed Fi unconscious since I’ve always experienced my Fi as more developed and present than my Te). It doesn’t hold much personal or existential significance for me in that it already confirmed intuitions and knowledge I already possess of myself. What it did do though was put to rest certain inconsistencies and cognitive dissonances I had when I mistyped as other types (FiNe, FiSe, and TiSe) in the past. Uncovering my enneatype and cognitive type in tandem has recontextualized the ways in which I've reacted to certain situations in the past. I can better understand and articulate my mode of being because now there’s a personal and systemic harmony between the two frameworks. Most importantly, through my travels through various typology systems, CT included, has taught me to extend empathy, understanding, and appreciation towards types who are vastly different than me. It eases internal and external tensions in that I don’t take things personally, or I’m not so quick to judge another person as stupid and ridiculous. It has also expanded my repertoire of skills and mode of thinking.
