Genetic and neural correlates of the cognitive functions

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but what if anything have you noticed or hypothesized in terms of physical correlates? Might certain types end up using certain regions of the brain more, or at least having a mental pecking order dominated by the purposes and demands of one area? If not, manifesting different patterns of mental activity, brain connectivity, or gene expression? Do certain genetic groups seem inclined to hereditarily exhibit and cluster around certain functions, possibly leading to recurring vignettes of interpersonal or cultural conflict?
