FiNe Marie Kondo

Marie was brought up in Discord, but I wanted to respond here instead. For those who don't know, Marie Kondo is an author that advocates for a rather unique form of lifestyle re-organization, based on principles of whether something sparks joy in you -- and to live a life of minimalism by only keeping those things that produce joy in your life. She is author of books such as:


As in this video, she says things like: "..we all have problems and clutter in our homes, but it's not just that Stephen, we all have clutter in our hearts"

While the idea of tidying up may initially seem high Te, she is actually vultologically and psychologically high-Fi. And this is congruent with the entire ontological priority she displays between her Fi and Te. Ultimately, tidying up is for the service of Fi alignment, not the other way around. Objects are a reflection (or non-reflection) of essence, and the dialogue between environment and self is structured to be conducive to that inner sense. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Here is a video that is more conducive to a vultological analysis:

Ji-lead

What we see is a combination of Ji-lead rigidity, a receding energy and poise. We see a very delicate and dainty expression of the fingers and an exerted push to her gesticulations. The style and manner of this expression is characteristic of the Ji-lead with conscious Je.
And we also see Princess energy (qualia) in her whole composure.

She has been compared to a sort of Disney Princess, no doubt because of the unbridled radiation she elicits at all times due to her seelieness.

I think there might be a chance that she's FiNe ll-l Seelie, but it's difficult to find videos of her that are not overly edited or difficult to understand. In any case, Te is certainly conscious for her.

Fi > Te

Now in light of the recent commentary from @ladynerdsky and @elisaday - I find this very illuminating! LadyNerd was just talking about her organizational quirks and Elisa relates as well. I still don't entirely understand the dynamic at play here, but it appears to me that the role of Te in the Fi-lead (remembering the principle of Conservation of Psychic Energy) is rather important. I have a lot of simmering ideas about this, but for now I'd like to open it up to the forum instead. What do you guys think of Marie Kondo?

Excellent, I was hoping you would type her; I noticed in myself that as I incorporate more and more Je into my life that I’ve become a willing and able interior and exterior decorator with a focus on efficient utilization of space and functionality (and boy was there a lot of mess and awful utilization of space when I first arrived to my new house that triggered my very active sense of disgust and desire to “fix” the environment). I also believe that objects are best used to create optimal environments for those living around them, and I suspected these new habits were the result of operating primarily from a conscious J axis with Ji>Je, and it’s cool to see you’re noticing this pattern as well.

For sure, and this extends to all types. For example, I have always valued Ti and it plays a very important role in my psyche.

Could we make a separate thread to talk about the relationship between own's inferior function? I feel like we've discussed this but only when it comes to Ni/Si/Se so I'd be interested to know about inferior Te/Fi and Ti/Fe, too

she figured tidying up affects her emotions, so she decided to work in that. while a Te lead might go through life following conventions and later on figure out where standards are broken then decide to fix that?

Moreover, if I'm not mistaken, Ji leads will tend to show Je signals in their areas of expertise/specialization. Je signals communicate strong convictions in some kind of matter. So as opposed to Je leads who show strong opinions in a wide variety of interests. Ji leads will only show that in their area of expertise.
