EDM music and functions [beta] [gamma]

I heard Se types like edm a lot more than other types and are more often found at music festivals. Just curious if other Se and Ni types prefer electronic dance music.
If you do let me know and tell me what type of edm is your favorite or post a favorite artist.
If you dont also let me know and tell me why you dont like it.

I'm not too into EDM or festivals in general. I'm prone to overstimulation and oversocialization, and just a lack of desire to be in large groups in people in general. I have been known to go to dancing with my friend group though evey once in a while, but this is more of an exercise of going wild with my friends and community (the queer scene in Chicago), than really seeking out a highly sensory experience. This is probably because I've valued Fi longer than I've really known Se very well, and I call Fi home.
I do listen to some deep electronic music, but it's usually more ambient with some dance elements, like Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada. Lots of 80s dance pop and stuff too actually! Tears for Fears, New Order, and the like. I guess I'm looking for emotional content first, and then a sensory experience. Or a cool blending of the two, like with the soundtrack musician Disasterpeace. And all that being said, I'm usually listening to this music with the highest quality of headphones I can afford and alone.
So maybe for me, a gamma introvert with a slant toward Fi over Se, it's about the quality of sensory information coming at me instead of the quantity. I do honestly get fucked up once in a while though and get pretty wild with my friends, so maybe quantity is sometimes sought out.

@Alice yeah that makes sense. The queer scene listens to a lot of Edm at parties and such. I go to those too, but I also go to raves to get my music and listen to radio stations and surf Apple Music.
I saw in one of the videos that Kate Bush is typed as a FiSe. Her song running up that hill is sooooo brilliant and beautiful. I love it! Maybe gamma types like synthy stuff but kind of listen to more downtempo versions of songs. thanks for your input!

@Elsie yes most of that is what I consider Edm. I can pick a few songs I like too and post them. My current favorite is accelerator by salardo and camelphat

Hey, yeah! Kate Bush is so sick! Absolutely love her! I'm thinking though, maybe the quadral difference doesn't have to do with actual likes/dislikes like genre, artist, or instruments used, but something more along the lines of motivation and maybe taste. Not all gammas like synth music, and probably not all betas like EDM. There is a shared set of motivations for gammas and betas alike though, and that may lead them to seek out the same kinds of experiences.
If Se is used with Fi, like in gamma quadra, the Se+Fi user will most likely be motivated to seek out or create experiences that are authentic and true to their identity, visceral and interesting, new, deep, and maybe intense in a sensory or emotional way. The reason I like Kate Bush a whole lot probably has to do with the fact that I'm able to empathize with her very easily and deeply, being of the same cognitive type, gender, and artistic inclination. Her music is laden with layer upon layer of emotional and sensory stimulus, so much so that it's actually sometimes almost overwhelming. But that's what makes her music so easy to understand for me as an FiSe, because that is how I can sometimes experience everyday life.
If Se is used with Ti, like in the beta quadra, the Se+Ti user will most likely be motivated to seek out or create experiences that are authentic and true to their castle construct of reality, direct, to-the-point, interesting, perfect, new, and maybe intense in a sensory or very direct way. Ti doesn't beat around the bush (haha), and neither does Se. Ti is looking for simple, refined Truth, and Se is looking for simple, refined Experience. EDM is a perfect example of a combination of these two concepts. It is rhythm and tone reduced to it's purest and most direct form. It has one purpose: it is dance music. It has one context: it is made electronically. It is Electronic Dance Music. Sounds and tones made digitally are clearer, more refined, and literally more mathematically perfect than acoustic sounds. They are able to be played and composed in perfect time at a perfect dance tempo. This combination of concepts would most likely be attractive to an Se+Ti user if I am defining Ti correctly.
Not being a Ti user, I don't really know what the experience of Ti is like, and I don't really have a great grasp on it's motivations. But if it's creating a literal and factual framework of reality like I experience with my Fi ethical and emotional framework, I might have an ok idea of it.
Anyway, it's the job of CT, and personality typology theories in general, to think about the motivations behind people's actions, not the specific actions themselves. We may often look to those specific actions and likes and dislikes, but we are only ever doing so to discover the motivation and process that led to them.

Yeah, most of the Edm I like has vocals about abstract scientific concepts and focuses on feelings of empowerment.
I think somehow certain songs tap into my adrenaline in a really compatible way.
Yeah, I think out of all the FiSe's typed on here Kate Bush's music is my favorite.
I don't care too much for Michael Jackson or prince but Kate Bush is quality for sure.
EDM somehow gives me feelings of wholeness while keeping me alert. Otherwise I tend to slouch and get kinda lazy.

I do enjoy electronic music, but like Alice said I prefer it to have more of a cathartic bend. My jams tend to be mid-tempo and hauntingly melodic no matter which genre. Witch Hous is probably about the closest I get to EDM, typically.

100% yes. I live for electronic music and its many sub genres. I have been to hardcore raves (yes, I had glow sticks), tripped balls to psychedelic trance, worked out to Prodigy, travelled far and wide listening to Anjunabeats, partied to hardhouse...
Music which relies on vocals to convey some kind of sentement feels so forced and weird to me. I find it annoying.
 
Electronic music takes you on a journey. It doesn't force you down any one path. It doesn't dictate its terms to you. It allows you to roam the constructs of your mind freely, like a gateway to faraway lands.

i also like that my mind can roam freely without all the annoying emotional situations normal music does to you. Additionally i like good quality sound and edm is so pure in its delivery.

I love everything about electronic music. The different sounds and atmospheres that can be created with synths and sound design and paired with a kick drum just creates this mesmerizing, otherworldly experience to listen to. I'm quite the connoisseur if I'm going to be honest. While I do enjoy the typical "EDM" 128BPM bangers, I find myself mostly attracted to the intricately produced underground stuff.  I won't post videos to clog up the thread, but I'll list a few favorites for anyone curious:
