Hi there
So I had a really fascinating dream, it seemed almost esoteric
I saw some dark landscape, and then I saw blue water in front of it. I saw the reflection of a white stag in the water before seeing the white stag itself.
Now the white stag had white antlers, and yellow lightning came from both ends of the antlers and met in the middle. In the middle of the lightning I saw the moon. Then encircling the one moon, I saw the various phases of the moon surrounding this one moon.
As I came closer to this deer, it suddenly regurgitated another moon into my hand. As I took the moon and pulled it towards myself, I absorbed it and the various phases of the moon encircled my head. I ended up aging rapidly, growing extremely old until I was a skeleton. However it seems that I reincarnated and became a baby and that is where my vision ended.
I wonder what this could mean, is it a cognitive function thing, is it some sort of esoteric mystery? I've always been fascinated by dream interpretation, but many times online dream interpretation eludes me.
just to clarify it wasn't a dream, it was more of a visualization.
So guess what guys, I think I managed to interpet my own vision, and I believe it is actually firmly tied in with my cognitive type. It relates a lot to persistence effect as well as my seelie Fi.
The white stag is a person who offended me on facebook. They were white (white stag) because they were self-righteous and felt justified in what they said. Yet the lightning could signify how hurtful they really are.
The moon and its phases signify the meanness and anger this person seemed to have, they seem to easily take offense. The moon and its phases also seems to relate to the persistence effect, at least on an emotional level.
The white stag spitting out the moon signifies the hurtful things the person said on Facebook.
Me eating the moon means I am taking offense and allowing that person to hurt me, and I couldn’t let it go and let it eat away at me. This is another example of the persistence effect, or a process akin to the persistence effect because I find it hard to detach from the conflict that took place.
My untimely aging and death signifies how much that grudge killed me inside (she hurt my feelings).
My rebirth could signify the end of the cycle, as well as the person calling me childish. Or it could signify me dying to my need to be right and letting go of the grudge. It could also signify the end of the persistence effect.
I hope its not coming across in the wrong way that I am conflating these things too much with the persistence effect, but it makes the most sense to me based on what I actually experienced earlier in the day.
@Rickus
omg what an intense dream o.o
I like your interpretation, dreams are of course subjective in nature so the symbols within them can mean different things to different people. But at face-value, knowing what I know about Jung's dream analysis, that dream sums up the whole narrative of individuation itself.
I saw some dark landscape, and then I saw blue water in front of it. I saw the reflection of a white stag in the water before seeing the white stag itself.
In general bodies of water in dreams and visions represent the unconscious. The white stag is a symbol of the Self archetype, so the fact that you saw the stag reflected in the water seems significant. This would symbolize that the Self is still a subconscious aspect of your psyche, and the interaction you have with it once you recognize its 'physical' form on the land would indicate the process you need to go through in order to make it conscious.
Now the white stag had white antlers, and yellow lightning came from both ends of the antlers and met in the middle. In the middle of the lightning I saw the moon. Then encircling the one moon, I saw the various phases of the moon surrounding this one moon.
The moon is also a very distinct symbol, usually of the Feminine but also of the Shadow/dark aspects of ourself. Lightning in this context seems to indicate power, or the locus of libido in the psyche. The fact that the lightning focused around the moon would say that your pending process involves the feminine (esp. the dark feminine) aspect of yourself (the Anima). I don't think this should be conflated with Fi, but the way you may interpret femininity, the emotional and creative is likely related to your Fi.
As I came closer to this deer, it suddenly regurgitated another moon into my hand. As I took the moon and pulled it towards myself, I absorbed it and the various phases of the moon encircled my head.
This part really blew me away! It seems to be a very direct symbol of your integrating your feminine aspect (Anima). The cycles of the moon also have a lot of symbolic significance, especially as the causality of natural processes and of death and rebirth (as the moon darkens and evolves back to full every cycle). That the moon cycles transferred to you from the stag could show that a necessary process is happening for you unconsciously, and through integrating the feminine aspect you could make that process conscious.
I ended up aging rapidly, growing extremely old until I was a skeleton. However it seems that I reincarnated and became a baby and that is where my vision ended.
Rebirth seems to be a strong theme in your dream. This seems to indicate that by integrating the feminine/shadow aspect of yourself, you become born as a new self. It could also represent renewal of life-force, energy and potential. Like the story of the phoenix, in order to rise again the old self must be destroyed (or disassembled to some extent). It seems to me that your psyche is saying loud and clear that you are verging on this rebirth process, but that you must make the sacrifice of 'dying' before you can be 'born again'.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful dream ?
Dear Chiron
Wow, wow, wow. This interpretation you have given me is phenomenal. What I love about visions and dreams is that there is no finite way to interpret them, but rather infinite ways.
I definitely believe that it is related to my auxiliary Fi, which is unconscious. I have always felt like I had a feminine side to me especially as a child, but because I am male my parents and society as a whole taught me to shun the feminine aspects of myself. This may explain why my tertiary Te was developed instead.
I have also always loved the symbolism of the phoenix and of rebirth, it is a process we all need to go through in order to become more integrated and more fully individuated.
I actually also think the deer I saw was inspired by the forest spirit in Princess Mononoke. It was almost like a deer although it had a humanoid face, and was a life giving force.
I am curious to learn more about the process of integration of my feminine and shadow aspects.
Interestingly I had a vision of two women kissing. I believe this could also tie in with the integration of the feminine.
I've also had recurring visions and dreams of gigantic spiders, something I feared as a child and still do to some extent. I always end up killing the spider with a sword. I also saw a three headed dog killing an old woman, but then there was a celebration and we ate pink cake.
Could this be me trying to repress the feminine, shadow aspects of myself?
