NiTe l--- Male

This represents the baseline vultology for the NiTe and is very comparable to the NiFe l---. The gaze is highly hypnotic & trance-like, as it remains fixed forward and zoned-out. As they talk, no significant participation occurs between the eyes and the mouth. That is to say, the eyes are doing one thing while the mouth is doing another, and the two dimensions are not in very explicit collaboration.
The body appears to be falling endlessly towards a resting state, and losing animation. These samples display the "stumpy" characteristic of Pi-leads, which has been a very useful clarification in vultology lately.
Noah was previously typed as NiFe in the pre-development-levels period due to some warm swelling signal mixing, but when comparing him to the NiFe l--- samples, the qualitative difference is quiet clear. NiTe l--- differs from NiFe l--- in that they have a more robotic voice and sentinel-like posture. When they lean-back, their mouth moves in a monotone fashion without involving the rest of their muscles and not giving coordinated warmth. Even when they speak about very empathetic topics (which they do), their composure remains cold. Here's a set of GIFs showing this difference of composure in action.
NiFe:

The difference here is partly qualitative, but quite distinct. It's this quality of high-Te users that makes them appear machine-like often times, and is why Te politicians can have an "uncanny" feeling to them. Once again this is unrelated to their level of sincerity or care, it's just part of having Fi's unaware and uncoordinated emotional expression. 🙂
Psychology:
Psychologically, we don't have a large enough sample base to draw many conclusions. One thing of note is that NiTe appear to be less esoteric than their NiFe counterparts. They do express certain blunt Te habits, however. In his own words, Noah speaks about being a kind person but can appear like an asshole/narcissist sometimes (Te's "Jerk with a heart of gold" syndrome). Quin discusses a story in which he took bureaucratic action to get an employer fired who deserved it. And Fabiano is a professional chess player. All of these display Te's bluntness and process-orientation.

I won't be posting updates here weekly, but ppl can track the progress via the "Last Updated" column. They can also sort via columns, to see where things are. But I do have something to mention:
"Update to: Vultology Code 2.1 (some signal clarifying)" was added to the list.
This will take a bit of work to go through, but in brief, now that the codifier is solidified I've identified a few signals need a tighter clarity.

Chiefly that:
It seems that Ni Raised Outer Edges appear more frequently in Se>Ni than in Ni>Se, and may be moved into the Se part of the oscillation while another signal variant of Ni appears for Ni in that area. (described below)
This would have to be verified, and I intend to make a thread on it eventually. But for example, if you go through the Ni-leads in the database (and we know they're Ni-lead because of the Pi-lead energetics), and compare that to Se-leads (who fit Pe-lead energetics), we see raised outer edges appear more in Se than Ni.
Oppositely, we see something else in very strong Ni users, which is a sort of elevated brow more generally, while the eyes below remain hypnotic. Here are some examples of what I mean:

This appearance is something I described on Discord by saying that both of these are variations of Ni:

This is technically not a new signal, as it's mention in the CT book on pg. 291, CH.30 under b. Slanting Eyelids and Slanting Brows.

But what I didn't know then was that the first variant is more strongly correlated to Ni>Se, and the second one is more strongly associated with Se>Ni, although both are aspects of the same Ni/Se oscillation pair and so it doesn't technically make too much sense to separate them out.
Nonetheless, it's important to make this distinction for another reason - symmetry with Si Confused Stare. Right now there's a tendency for readers to see the above two images (Ray Kurzweil and Morgan Freeman) and sense some "Si" in them, but there is no Si in them. This is an Ni signal, and the Si Confused Stare looks more like this:

^ Si. With the curvature being inverted. This is different than Ray Kurzweil above. And so, to summarize and import a poor graphic from Discord...

Notice how the gap between the eyelids and the eyebrows is larger in Ni/Se users, independent of the angle of the eyelids or eyebrows. That's the key difference, and this difference fairs out much better in psychological matches across our samples. The updates that will come with the vultology code 2.1 will focus on this "gap" difference between the eyelids and eyebrows.
Explanations:
I think the reason we see raised outer edges more paired with Se>Ni is because the raised outer edges are part of the "sharpness" and "tautness" of Se's ocular tension. This doesn't make as much sense coming from Ni, which is the "unfocused" part of the pair.
Secondly, I think Si and Ni both share a common component in the "worried" look they both share (Pi anticipation), and so Ni's Elevated Brow properly coincides now with Si Confuse Stare -- as two ways that Pi shows a degree of anxiety about what is to come. This makes sense vultologically as well.
P.S.
As always this can be debated objectively, and I hope to provide a proper case for it, when I have time. We can check this statistically. Also, in a practical sense, I don't expect this difference to change any typings in the database. The typings are all the same, but this should help avoid future mistypings since -- as Jelle and others have pointed out now for a long time -- the whole matter of Si being the only function associated with this worried expression has lead to issues with mis-percieving Si where it wasn't there. And it's always best to have details like this, however small, in their proper categorizations.
