I haven't technically introduced new signals since 2016 with the publication of the book, and have been happy to see most of them hold up the test of time without too much revision, but I believe the Conductor/Reviser dichotomy (--which was not so prominently discussed back then--) is not only essential going forwards, but it appears to be validated at multiple levels from the data.
Thus, its explicit definition becomes a necessity. I don't know yet whether what I'm presenting here requires insertion into the vultology code (since it's emergent from function compounds, and this could all be inferred with a robust understanding of Ji,Pe,Je,Pi alone) -- but I'm going to try to articulate the cues that we have already been using (implicitly) to read people as conductors or revisers.
I've used the terms "conductor forwardness" and "reviser doubt" as the names for these two signals, but I'd like to parse it out a bit more carefully.
I'd like to begin by showing examples of this signal:
FeSi

FeNi

TeSi

TeNi

This signal is characterized by "head pushes" which are different than head nods. The last GIF with Trump is most representative, as he is almost burrowing his chin forward like a shovel. Maybe "shovel chin" is something of a useful phrase here (lol), but well, I don't pretend to be the best at naming conventions.. I mostly wish to communicate the physical expressions.
From a motion-tracking perspective, I believe there are two elements involved in Conductor Forwardness: body pushes/forwardness & a stiff neck.

What I described above is the forward body & head pushes, and the stiffness of the neck is the other factor which doesn't relate so much to a literal "stiffness" as much as a constriction of movement in a limited set of directions. I will explain by means of contrast, in the following section:
NeTi

SeTi

NeFi

SeFi

From a motion-tracking perspective, I believe there are two elements involved in reviser doubt: wandering body & a swivel neck.
Notice how in the above GIFs we see that the movements of the body are not constrained to any particular angle or direction. Essentially, the body can wander in any available direction (wandering body) and to the same effect, the head can also swivel in any available direction (with or without the eyes).
There is a sort of bodily "superposition" to the reviser types, wherein the body hasn't yet collapsed down to a single point. This superposition is what is in contrast to the conductor type's unidirectionality. Here are a few diagrams to help demonstrate:

The texts read:
Reviser:
Wandering Body: Drifting body that is at liberty to move 180 degreeswithout necessarily having directionality. The body may wander about as a response to eye-direction or just to just in accordance to the available physical trajectories.
Swivel Neck: A neck that appears like a lubricated ball bearing, able to swivel about ~180 degrees with no necessary commitment to a forward vector. It moves either as a response to eye-direction or just in accordance to the available physical trajectories.
Conductor:
Head/Body Pushes: A forward driven body that has a targeted trajectory. It will push the chin and head outward continually in the direction of the trajectory, and in a way that demonstrates a lack of randomness. The body will not wander, but will remain always subtly honed towards the front.
Stiff Neck: A neck that, while technically has no lacking directions of motion (roll/pitch/yaw), will not transition freely between rolling, pitching or yawing like a ball-bearning. Instead, neck movements will stay in one XYZ axis at a time, and the head will not wobble aimlessly.
(Again these terms are subject to change, but I wanted to try to present some initial vocabulary to allow for a discussion to evolve from there. What do you guys think? As always, feedback is welcome!)
Now it may seem like I am just describing Je-leads vs Pe-leads, but these principles also still apply to Je-leads with conscious Pe, and Pe-leads with conscious Je. For example:
SeFi l-l-

^ Pe Body Swaying + Je Gesticulation / Head Nods
How can we tell from this image if he's Je>Pe or Pe>Je? Look at how his head moves about. It has the "swivel neck" quality of rolling/swiveling across various vecitors in a non-linear manner. Unlike Ted Cruz or Donald Trump above, his head moves without doing the "shovel chin" where he sinks and commits his chin in one direction.
Instead his chin/head-nods are subordinate to his body's ongoing and bubbling momentum. Additionally, his hands lack angularity and definitiveness.
Lets look now at how these principles apply to a TeSi l-l- type:

^ Je Head Nod + Pe Body Swaying
Here we can again ask the question of whether Je comes before Pe. The answer can be seen in several ways. Firstly, his head nods are also head pushes. He retains a J structure from the beginning and when his body swoops/sways to the left it circles back around soon after to the same vector/direction. Ultimately the body is controlled and narrowed in one trajectory.
Notice also how his neck goes in one vector at a time. First it's up/down (the head nod), then left-right (the body sway) but at no point is his neck swiveling aimlessly like a ball bearing.
Viewing next how this manifests in Ji-lead types:
TiNe

FiNe

TiSe

FiSe

Notice the multidirectionality of the body and head. We can see here their "wandering body" and how there is a certain lack of any convincing forward vector. All the above samples are l--- in these videos, letting us know that reviser energy (as a joint Ji+Pe phenomenon) exists even when the auxiliary function is not conscious.
As we see here, this signal is not at all in competition/opposition to J rigid bodies. The Ji spine remains intact and central to the body, while the body still has a tendency to subtly wander multi-directionally -- like the relationship between a tetherball pole and the ball.
(The difference being made here between Conductor-vs-Reviser energy is not one concerning rigidity versus fluidity, but multi-directionality and unidirectionality in the investment and pushing of body energy.)
Thanks, @Auburn. I like where this is going. So we're expecting this signal to hold up regardless of development, though perhaps mitigated somewhat by having the lower functions conscious, where we would see a smoothing/loosening of the forwardness in the case of conductors and a honing and tightening of the energy in revisors?
I think this should be integrated into the code. My two cents on this is that the J-Lead vs. P-Lead dichotomy signals the presence of a primary JeJi or PePi oscillation and that’s in the code while the Conductor vs. Revisor dichotomy signals the presence of a primary JePi or PeJi oscillation so that should be in the code as well.
@faeruss - Yes, it's my current sense that a comprehensive application of conductor/reviser signals, alongside J-lead/P-lead signals, can triangulate and properly identify even the trickiest 3-4 function conscious individuals.
Conductor/Reviser signals are pretty much mandatory when trying to identify the 3-4 function types properly -- otherwise everything looks like a "function soup", which I don't think is the right model.
(p.s. - I've been roughly using the conductor/reviser signals above in making the dev level series, but haven't quite put them down in writing quite like here. And it may be that my articulation still needs some work, but when the "essence" of the two is grasped, the qualia goes beyond the words here. If I can turn people's attention to that element, maybe we can describe it better too.)
@supahprotist - It is seeming that way, isn't it. I like how your phrase it.
@auburn
Ty for sharing this resource, I am certain it will prove invaluable in my efforts to find and differentiate Type IIII's. Just as you said, I felt myself becoming bogged down in the marsh of the "function soup", and so I largely extricated myself from the effort and waited for higher ground, which has now become available 🙂
The cones of activity by which we can differentiate Conductors and Revisers has now allowed me to overcome my misgivings regarding that split/dynamic, which is easiest for me to personally understand as the difference between a more focused 90 degree field of activity of the classical Conductor vs. the more unfocused 180 degree field of activity of the classical Reviser.
Thank you @Auburn for this, it really helps me gauge the movement better. I understood the movements in Reviser and Conductor energy, even in the distinctions of PeJe vs JePe, however I'm still having a hard time with the Ji leads and their reviser energy, most of the time it just looks like small jitters to me and I can't distinguish their directionality (multi or uni). Is the baseline for determining Reviser or Conductor energy no movement of the body at all, and therefore have to also scrutinize little movements to a higher degree (what is the threshold)?
Also, 480p for your video resolution? Are you filming this with an old flip phone? Don't tell me your youtube series is being filmed like this as well ?.
I’m still having a hard time with the Ji leads and their reviser energy, most of the time it just looks like small jitters to me and I can’t distinguish their directionality (multi or uni).
@scientiam - Good questions. So if we look closely at the Ji l--- types, they display the "reed in the wind" pattern of movement. It's especially clear in Sara:

There's subtle fidgeting to the left/right, while the head swivels back slightly as the eyes toggle. We can see this aimlessness to her movements, as she remains in doubt and in superposition. This is part of the reviser energy.

With cases like Nadia (hi nadia!) it's a bit less obvious but we can still see this aimless doubt and superposition. It's visible in her wandering eyes, her backwards head tilt towards the end of the GIF, and the lack of forward vector.
Maybe something I could clarify is to say that facing the camera is not the same as conductor body-pushes/body-forwardness. I don't mean directionality in the sense of where one is facing, but where the body is "going."
In the case of Ji-leads often the body is not "going" anywhere, in other words not picking a direction. This self-contained non-directionality [ "I will stay here in my castle, in my core" ] is still part of the reviser package and still is in opposition to conductor energy.
So perhaps I should say reviser=non-directionality/multi-directionality, while conductor=uni-directionality, in terms of an active forward vector/push, not just where one is facing. I wonder if that clarifies? I'm still trying to word this the best way-- so this is good practice. Let me know if this makes more sense.
Is the baseline for determining Reviser or Conductor energy no movement of the body at all, and therefore have to also scrutinize little movements to a higher degree (what is the threshold)?
Hmm, well perhaps there is no baseline common to both since "non-movement" would itself be sided with Conductor, as part of Pi inertia (potato sack) and especially Ni grounded inertia. ![]()
Essentially, what we're seeing is that Ji-leads still always carry auxiliary Pe bubbling momentum-- which is what we're noticing with the little jitters. Concordantly, Pe-leads always carry a level of Ji momentum halting and exerted pushing. Basically the two energetic groups (Ji+Pe) are interwoven together-- but specifically in the quality they have when they are higher functions.
(also lol! ^^; it was a brief supplementary commentary just for you guys. i'd certainly not use a webcam for the actual video series.)
I see, I think I get it: the movement of body as a whole having the Ji non-directionality (guarding the "castle") as included in Pe multi-directionality (seeking, wandering) together make sense as part of the whole field of movement/physics of Reviser energy. While the opposite is shown by the Pi inertial (downward, gravitational?) lack of movement and Je forward uni-directional (pushing, digging) as part of the whole field of Conductor energy. Thanks ?.
Also, letting know the movements that you are seeing in the GIFs really helped, since it seems it does take a higher scrutiny to track the subtle movements and therefore it takes more practice from me to nail them down.
