In the Ni description, he talks about how Se works to create Ni's state of mind. And some of the other descriptions also go into this though I can't think of them offhand. I felt Pe were the weakest ones, though I agree that Auburn is overall the best there is out there.
There is no Ni without Se, and no Se without Ni. I'm not talking about polarized types. I'm talking about the actual axis that makes the fundamental basis of the type.
