Just thought this would be an interesting question to post, in light of interpersonal dynamics. How many others of your cognitive type have you known? And what is/was your interaction with them like?
__________
I'll start: I'm TiNe and currently know 4 others of my type, 3 are very close friends. I have known a total of 9 or 10 other TiNe's, and with all of them there is an instant familiarity and camaraderie. We tend to be stand offish and keep to ourselves, so I didn't have the opportunity to connect closely with all the others of my type I've met. But when we do have a long lasting relationship to each other, I have to say it's the purest and most continuous type of love I've experienced. I think of my TiNe friends as Cosmic family. Even if a long time passes where we don't see each other we know we always have someone there for us who understands, and when we do reconnect it's as if no time has passed at all.
My best friend of all time is TiNe with quite a lot of Ne expression. He and I were in a romantic relationship for a while, that ended but our friendship continues. He knows just about everything there is to know about me, and we share heart-to-heart about things we don't share with anyone else. We go out dancing together still sometimes, and it's just a joy to be around him. He's my safe place, even if the whole rest of the world seems against me.
Another of my TiNe best friends is also best friends with my partner who's FeNi. We all share a similar sense of humor and have a lot of fun on trips together. Sharing the same background in Jung, he and I talk about theory and philosophy a lot, as well as analyze each other's dreams. We act as a sounding board for one another, figuring out the best way to deal with life while being true to our core selves as TiNe's.
Probably the most heartfelt relationship I've ever had with anyone is with my best girlfriend, she's TiNe and exactly the same age as me. She's my sister, but in all the best ways without the sibling rivalry! >,< We're like two versions of the same person in a lot of ways, she's a bit lighter and I darker in disposition (interestingly she's blonde and I've got dark hair). I absolutely adore her in a way I didn't before know I could love anyone. She understands my emotions and just gets who I am, she knows how to comfort me which is nearly impossible for other people. We share secrets and give each other special gifts, every moment we have together is precious and memorable. She also has a daughter who's the spitting image of her, I get to be auntie š
Some of the most painful experiences I've ever had were with others of my type as well. Because of the innate connection, deep love and trust that's there, when it ends up that we have to part ways it's bitterly sad š¢ I once lost someone who was like a little brother to me, he wasn't just the same type but the same Sun sign (Sagittarius). It was uncanny how alike we were. He had escaped a very bad situation at home, much like the one I'd grown up in, and IĀ wanted so much to help him heal. But he started to take things out on me, and I'd learned not to tolerate that kind of behavior no matter what. Still it was one if the hardest things I'd ever had to do to say goodbye. I've had a couple other heartbreaking situations with others of my type, all have left a heaviness in my heart that never goes away.
