I remember reading that in Dario Nardi's book. He also said INTP's were the worst at listening. At the time I thought I was an INTP, and that distinction totally made sense for me because I have a tendency to get distracted by my own thoughts and stop listening to what someone else is saying. And the very first thing my husband said when I told him Auburn had typed me as FiNe was, "That can't be right. Aren't they supposed to be really good listeners?" Perhaps that's a seelie vs unseelie difference. Or perhaps I actually do have a greater than usual capacity for active listening, but I just don't always choose to use it. Or perhaps Nardi's findings don't apply here since his participants aren't typed vultologically.
It would be quite interesting to look through some of the people in the database and see who does or doesn't display this signal. I do actually think I displayed it in my interview-style video that Auburn used to type me. But I also wonder if someone getting distracted by their own thoughts rather than actively listening might also drop their heads because their focus is internal.

Well I am indeed an enneagram 5, so that makes sense. But if enneagram type affects whether or not the active listening signal shows up, it may not be a good choice for one of the 10 Fi signals we look for in the codifier.
So do you not agree with your typing then? What type do you think you are?
Edit: Just saw your post in the Fi vs Ti thread. I also relate to more of the Ti descriptions in that thread than Fi, but I see that as more of a flaw in the descriptions than a flaw in the typing. The typing is based on vultology, and our vultology is what it is (unless it's been read incorrectly, which does happen occasionally). The question is - what is the psychology of the people with that vultology?
