Heya 🙂
I watched only about 1/3 into Karolyn’s video, but I think I get what she’s saying. And I think I need to clarify several things.
What Karolyn’s talking about falls outside of the scope of “Fi” by the current system (i.e. R-) because emotionality is a different phenomenon that varies independent of object-management-style. Anybody can be emotionally spongy and permeable, or HSP, due to life experiences and so forth. A question like “Do you turn Fi over being beaten or molested?” shows a construction/idea of Fi as an emotional and affective disposition that one might adapt or become. But this isn’t a valid question or framing in CT, because it’s apples and oranges. I believe this article is important to read: https://cognitivetypology.com/index.php?title=Redefining_F (as well as all those listed here).
